Excessive Sweating (Hyperhydrosis)
EXCESSIVE UNDERARM SWEATING
Also known as Hyperhydrosis, a distressing condition that severely affects patients quality of life with constant anxiety about visible sweating. Primary axillary Hyperhydrosis (PAH) is characterized by excessive sweating beyond which is considered for normal thermoregulation.
Hyperhydrosis can be treated successfully with using Botulinum Toxin. Botulinum Toxin is safe, effective and a non-invasive treatment for Primary axillary hyperhidrosis.
Botulinum toxin injections temporarily block the nerve signals responsible for sweating, stopping the sweat glands from producing too much sweat.
Injections are given after marking the area concerned with the iodine-starch test, numbing cream is applied. Injections are very superficial, with a micro-32G needle.
Treatment results are more than a 80% decrease in sweating, results start to be noticeable after 2-4 days with full effects noticed usually by 2 weeks. Results typically last 6-9months. Timing is perfect for the summer months.
